Over the past 15 to 20 years, the number of publications about the national policy of the Soviet state has increased dramatically in the United States. The growing interest of American bourgeois historians in these issues is largely due to political motives related to the problem of orientation of the "third world", with the search for contradictions and "centrifugal forces" within our country, with the desire to obscure in the eyes of the world community racial and national conflicts in our own country.
As you know, the national policy of the state is one of the essential indicators by which the peoples of other countries (especially those fighting for their independence) judge the advantages of a particular social system. The American sociologist A. Inkeles explicitly writes that national politics is one of the most important aspects of the comparative characteristics of the socialist and capitalist systems in the course of "peaceful competition" between them, especially in the eyes of the peoples of Asia and Africa.
