Public and state training plays a special role in shaping the state thinking of the army and navy personnel, their responsibility for the fate of the Fatherland, and in providing information support for the daily activities of military personnel. It is undoubtedly the most effective form of influencing the minds of soldiers.
As the analysis of the situation on the ground shows, commanders and chiefs of all ranks are aware of the importance of the Public-State Training and understand the need for serious qualitative changes in the approach to organizing public-state training at all its stages. Thanks to their efforts, there have been some positive trends in the organization of public-state training this year.
First of all, they are related to improving the educational and methodological support for classes. For example, for two years now, the rank-and-file, sergeant, and warrant officer personnel of the Armed Forces have been studying the new textbook "In the Service of the Fatherland" in the system of public and state training. This year, the textbook has been significantly revised and expanded in content. The textbook "In the Name of Russia" for officers and warrant officers has been published in 50,000 copies and sent to the troops. In addition, two further editions of the training manual for the heads of the OGP groups (issues 4 and 5) have been prepared for publication, with the latter focusing on election-related topics and helping military personnel understand the technology of participating in the upcoming elections for deputies of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. The military is also making some efforts to provide methodological support for the OGP. However, these efforts are usually not systematic, and the quality of the materials being developed is sometimes insufficient.
